Solar Man Foldable Electric Bicycle

Solar Man Bicycle – A Folding Bike That is Solar Powered

June 2, 2009

While our bicycle preferences are traditional, it doesn’t stop us from noticing new thoughts, ideas, and odd product related to riding. The Solar Man is a bike concept which is fully designed to harness the natural energy (Sun, in this case) using Solar panels to power up the micro engine inside the bike. The rest of unused power will be stored into the internal lithium-ion battery, so when you get tired the sun does the work for you. The total weight is around 27 lbs and it’s a foldable bike too.

Designed by Chen Weiping, this is one of sleekest bike concepts I’ve even seen. The bike has its own ergonomic factor and I’m looking forward to seeing the finished product.
